I’m not just cute, I’m super cute. Rather than the straight old boring planks, I give you a cool design whilst being as functional as my straight planked cousin. In fact, some might argue that I’m a throwback to the classic flooring techniques used back in the days using real wood. I’m more laborious to install, but the end effect is I make your space look fab!
Well, I guess that’s subjective. Speaking from a Herringbone angle, I’d say we are a gift to mankind, but stepping out of my little shoes, I’d have to say it’s down to personal preference. I haven’t seen many types of room shapes/sizes where I don’t look amazing. But I could say the same for my straight planked cousins..so it really boils down to YOUR preference. In technical terms, we’re the same. One doesn’t last longer than the other nor does either require any more care than the other.
Yup, I lap up those drops of water as I am locked side by side to the next piece, so water won’t seep through and cause any damage. I’m ideal for kitchens as well.
There is no hard and fast rule for this one, but generally speaking, following the longer length is the go-to for most customers. Where this might vary is in an example where you use me in your hallway, following the length of the corridor. If you decide to use me in the bedroom as well (hello), then following the direction of the passageway would make sense and means I will run left to right in the bedroom, but that’s ok. I still look amazing!
Yes, as with all Richmond SPC Flooring ranges, I’m stuck with IXPE underlayer as standard, ensuring the most comfortable SPC experience you’ll have. You may ask, what is IXPE? You can see my construction in the image above. The IXPE layer is at the bottom. In simple terms, it cushions the sounds those heels that enjoy walking all over me make. This makes me more quieter than my Polar Flooring 2nd cousins.
There are 10 of me in a box and I cover a total of 0.82m2. When measuring your room, I would highly recommend buying an extra 10-15% of material to cover wastage.
