What am I made of?

I’m made using what’s known as Stone Polymer Composition, hence the abbreviation. I have several layers around my core layer to enhance my performance, including the very important IXPE layer. This is essential in reducing sound by absorbing any impacts and sets me apart from most of the other brands in the market

Where can I be used?

I am very useful and can be used in residential and commercial spaces. If your area has high traffic volume (eg, a commercial place like a busy office or a mall), then most contractors opt for LVT instead of me, as it can be glued down (I can’t be glued down and rely on the zero click system for installation). The zero click system is an advanced system that locks me to my neighbor, leaving zero gaps.

Am I waterproof?

All my Richmond SPC family are suitable for wet areas due to how we’re manufactured. When assembling us, a VOC-free polymer (VOC is the bad guy, so we’re safer without) is used to bind each layer. Then we’re made with an advanced 4-sided click system, locking us together without a single gap. This ensures that surface water cannot seep between planks.

Am I value for money?

Compared to real wood, I’m far more economical and a great alternative that gives you the look and feel of real wood. I’m also far easier to look after and maintain than real wood flooring. Also, when you’re bored of me, I’m super easy to remove as I’m not glued down at installation time.

Can I be fitted directly onto existing surfaces?

Yes, as long as the surface is completely flat. I’m quite fussy about this, so if your floor isn’t entirely level, I will creak and cause a fuss.

Do I come with a warranty?

Yes, as I come under the Richmond umbrella, I come with industry leading warranties against manufacturing defects. Depending on whether you are using me for residential or commercial use, the warranty period of 5 years to 15 years is designed to give you complete peace of mind.

What Am I?

Richmond SPC Eco
