Well, my brand name is Polar, I’m made of SPC and I'm a straight plank, so I guess the clue is in the name. So, you ask what do I do? I am a triple embossed type of flooring made from SPC (Stone Polymer Carbonate for the aficionado’s amongst you) and I look like real wood. But I cost much, much less. And the best part, I last for years and I'm so easy to look after.
If you plan to use me at the bottom of your swimming pool, then the answer is no. But if you expect a few spills here and there, and some puddles as you step out the shower, then that’s easy peasy for me. My fellow planks also benefit from our unique 4 side click system which means we totally lock together. No pesky gaps for water to seep into and cause chaos. Other cheaper versions need to leave a tiny gap to breathe and expand, but as we’re so perfectly made, we don’t shrink in the cold weather or get bigger in the heat.
Aww come on, that’s not a nice thing to say to a plank of pretend wood L I guess the answer in that lies with the fact that I come direct from the factory and those savings are passed on to you. No distributor, no middleman, no importer, no local agents etc get their hands on me before I reach you. So, every little margin that is made along the way of a usual imported item is cut out of our little deal here. So yes, I might be cheap, but I'm still way classier than the others!
Yes, I absolutely insisted that the owner’s of the company supply me with my very own free underlay. Other companies tend to charge for this, but being the kinda plank that I am, I insisted, it’s me and the underlay or nothing. They relented and for this reason, a 1mm foam underlay is provided free of charge with every sqm of me that you buy.
I'm great for all types of areas where you wish to create the ambiance of real wood at a fraction of the cost. Be it wet areas like kitchens and bathrooms, or living areas and bedrooms. I can be used outdoors, but I really don’t like the sun and rather than tan like a hotdog, I fade like a balloon, so keep me indoors.
